1950's Linen Rhinestone Embellished Dress Collar

What fascinates me about fabric scraps is that they can still be and ARE used for creating new textiles and designs.

This 1950's dress collar is a perfect example of how preservation can go beyond just rescuing an entire garment, but how even the smallest pieces that survive can be used for so many things!

The delicate hand sewing in this lace is so exquisite, yet humble at the same time. Prong set rhinestones give it a hint of glamour without weighing the design down.
