A vintage purple slip skirt as seen worn by Natasha Lyonne as "Megan Bloomfield" in the comedy/drama But I'm a Cheerleader (Cheerleader LLC, 1999).
The nylon slip skirt features lace trim and an elastic waistband. Labeled "Vanity Fair." Size Medium.
But I'm a Cheerleader follows high school cheerleader Megan (Natasha Lyonne), who is sent off to conversion therapy after her friends and family begin to suspect she is a lesbian. Lyonne, as Megan, wears the skirt during a scene amid the five-step program.
This lot comes from the collection of Reel Clothes and Props, a Hollywood consignment shop that obtains movie and TV wardrobes directly from the major studios.

Natasha Lyonne is seen briefly wearing this half slip while seated in a vintage drying chain surrounded by an entirely purple room. The visual impact of this scene is amazing!
If only I could get my hands on the rest of the pieces from this scene!
The skirt itself is from the 1960's and it was really amazing to see how the costume designer used authentic vintage pieces to tell this story! This is so common in the television and film industry to achieve authenticity!
