1970's Hand Embellished Jeweled Costume Vest

This is one of those pieces that I always have to preface its introduction with saying, "If this fit me, I would be wearing it all day every day".

I found this piece in a consignment store that mainly carried modern, preloved clothing. This piece was in their "costume section" where vintage pieces often end up.

I believe this piece was made in India and while it definitely needs some TLC to shore up the jewels and beading, the beauty of this piece is still apparent.

I wish you all could feel the weight of this vest! It's easily three pounds of pure BEAUTY!

I'm hoping to do a revisited post with this piece once I get it fully restored! Stay tuned!

circa 1970's, India
