IT'S ALIVE! Back From the Dead....
Our YouTube channel is BACK!
If you aren't following us on social media, then you may not know that recently my shop, Carmine & Hayworth Vintage, was awarded a grant via the Main Street American Organization in partnership with American Express!
Thanks to this grant I've been able to start implementing updates to the Archive that will make it easier to access while also giving more opportunities to those interested in the journey to follow along behind-the-scenes!
Not many people know this, but Carmine & Hayworth Vintage has a YouTube channel!
A little bit of backstory:
I started this YouTube channel back in 2020 during the pandemic shut down as a way to stay in contact with all of my customers.
With my little outdated Rebel Camera that my sister lent to me, I started filming videos documenting some of my collections, history behind labels, buying appointments, and more!
Once things started opening back up the channel slowly started to fizzle out as my level of burn-out rose. It was harder to film with the set-up I had been using, my phone wasn't recording sound, I couldn't afford a proper editing program, etc.
Flash forward to a month ago I received this amazing grant that enabled me to invest in better tools to be able to publish the video content that I had been wanting to do but didn't have the resources.
I was able to get a camera that fit my needs (and lack of tech savvy), a more reliable computer and a editing program that was easy to use.
Every week I've been uploading videos that detail how I'm using the grant as it relates to the Archive and the shop, so I can give everyone an inside view on what I'm trying to accomplish with my dreams of the Archive!
I'm not Steven Spielberg, but I've really been having fun with documenting how much this grant has helped to make this vision stronger!
I've also been able to start a more encompassing newsletter on what's happening with the Archive aside from the latest additions, which you can sign-up for below!
I've never been more excited and optimistic about what's to come and I thank all of you for giving this little dream of my a chance!
