SUMMER FLORALS 1950's Dress by Jerry Gilden New York
Let’s start with a little story from this dress!
Jerry Gilden was a ready-to-wear designer that specialized in more moderate priced clothing for women.
The original owner of this dress came from a family who has a boutique in New York City around the turn of the century.
She was a seamstress and did some slight alterations on the dress to make it work for her body, which can be seen on the extra panel added to the bust under the arms. The perfect example of how to make clothing work for you!
Condition: Great!
Does show some wear (i.e. fading under the arms) due to age/ use.
Some loose strings inside.
